Ebay item 8/20/14 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-XK140DHC-Jaguar-1956-XK140MC-Drop-Head-Coupe-/1912931 ...
Current bid $2,550 reserve not met, 2 bids 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $52,500.
Sellers description:
This 1956 XK140 DHC is fully matching number car, it has the C-type head, the twin exhausts, the fog lamps, the window washers and the high performance engine. It is red with a black interior, the same as it was from the factory. The gentleman we obtained the car from had owned it for 45 years. One of the valves went on the original C-type head. Instead of rebuilding the head the owner installed another head from a late XK120 and it is very similar to the original head, as it was a special equipment head for a high performance engine. The owner did save the original head and we have it and it will be included with the car when sold. About 10 years ago the owner had the engine rebuilt with the XK120 head on it. The car can be used the way it is or you can rebuild the head and install it down the road. The car is very complete. The only thing that appears to be missing is the tools and the jack. We have the Jaguar Heritage Certificate for the car in hand. Since these cars are getting very difficult to find this is a great opportunity to obtain one at reasonable price for restoration.

Car returns to ebay 9/11/14 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-drop-head-coupe-RESTORATION-PROJECT-1956-JAGUAR-XK140 ...
Current bid US $5,100, no reserve, 3 bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be located in Alto, New Jersey. Seller is using same photos and description and does not provide the VIN, a possible scam.
Previous auction ended at $46,500 after 12 bids.
