Body Restoration
The body work and minor rust treatment was performed by Skip McCabe and the crew at McCabe Auto Restoration, Mundelein, IL. Skip's reputation follows him as a 100-point restorer in competitions like Pebble Beach and Meadowbrook.

All original body panels were straight, showing no previous accident history, or repair damage. The car was reported to me as a California car. The body was stripped to bare metal, properly primed and painted with a polyurethane color: British Racing Green, based on Jaguar factory color codes. All chrome was either replaced with new or rechromed; i.e. f & r bumpers, headlight rims, bonnet stripe, door top panels, interior door hardware, outside door handles and locks, full grill, rear trunk bezels, license plate surround and lock, rear tail lights and all wheel knock offs.


2. Mechanical Restoration
Brake system totally rebuilt, including vacuum pow, master cylinder, brake slave cylinder, all wheel calipers, new brake lines and pad, new stainless exhaust system, new 12v batteries, all bulbs replaced, head reconditioned with valve job, new valve seals and head gasket replaced. New valve cover gaskets after aluminum polishing of valve cover, tops or 3 SU carbs, and ports, new clutch - no transmission repairs necessary. All instrumentation is original and in excellent working order.

3. Interior and Top Restoration
Total interior restoration with Connelly type hides, both seats, doors (disassembled) and dash replaced. Dash and door surrounds replaced. Full carpeting is Wilton "RR" quality. New interior mirror mount and new r & l outdoor original fender mirrors, per factory specs. No original hood Jaguar cat ornament was ever installed on these cars. They are placed there by some restorers as decoration , but not.... Top bows rebuilt and fitted with new wool Camel colored top, fitted with full headliner, new rear window and new front, top and side seals.
