June 6, 2015 auction
1959 Jaguar XK150S Fixedhead Coupé
Registration 463NCG
Chassis Number T825029DN
Engine Number VS2150-9
Odometer reading 24,786 miles
Estimate £44,000 - £50,000
This rare righthand drive XK150S Coupé is fitted with the 3.4 litre engine and overdrive gearbox. This two-owner car from new was purchased by the vendor in 1965. Fully maintained and serviced by the vendor in his own workshop, this XK150S is in excellent mechanical condition; it starts easily and runs very well. The car has been re-painted while in his ownership and is finished in British Racing Green with the original brown leather interior. This Jaguar XK150S is supplied with a V5C registration document, an old V5 document, the buff log book and MoT test certificates going back to 2003 which show how little mileage this car has covered in the last twelve years. Righthand drive XK Jaguars from this period are very sought after and collectable - particularly the rare 150S model -and it is even rarer to find an unrestored example in such good condition.

Jaguar XK150 FHC 3.4 S RHD 1959 - for sale
Chassis no: T825029DN
Featured in various XK publications this XK was registered in September 1959 with the personal number SVM 779 to the celebrated Jaguar collector Bryan Corser. This exceptional car has had only three registered owners from new with the last owner for 52 years. He has confirmed that the mileage indicated of only twenty four thousand miles is correct. The car is finished in correct BRG with a 'time warp' original red leather interior and is of course matching numbers. Recent work completed include new SS exhaust, radial tyres, brakes, splined hubs, discs etc, and a new clutch. One of only 86 RHD cars produced this is one of the rarest XK's of all and represents an unrepeatable opportunity to purchase a piece of Jaguar history.

Lot 16
1959 Jaguar XK150 'S' 3.4-Litre Coupé
Sold for £113,500 (US$ 140,692) inc. premium
Goodwood Members' Meeting
19 Mar 2017, 14:00 GMT
Chichester, Goodwood
Registration no. 463 NCG
Chassis no. T825029DN
*One of only 86 right-hand drive examples
*First owned by Brian Corser
*Three owners from new
*Believed genuine circa 24,000 miles from new
*Recently re-commissioned by Twyford Moors
This overdrive-equipped example of one of the rarest and most sought-after of XK150 variants was ordered directly from Jaguar Cars by the celebrated Jaguar collector Brian Corser in September 1959. Brian Corser was the founder of the Seven Valley Motor Club, hence its original 'SVM 779' registration number, which was used on all his XKs. His Jaguars were on public display and included a D-Type, an XK SS, and a lightweight E-Type to name but a few.
This car is featured in various XK publications, and there is a photograph of it under important Jaguar car owners in the book 'Jaguar XK in Detail' by Anders Ditlev Clausager. The XK is depicted with its original steel wheels and special discs. Finished in correct British Racing Green with a remarkable, 'time warp', original red leather interior, the car has just undergone extensive mechanical re-commissioning in the XK Workshops at Twyford Moors. This re-commissioning included new hubs, brakes, batteries, radial tyres, clutch, a stainless steel exhaust and further works, and the car now performs very well.
This model is one of the rarest of all XKs with only 86 right-hand drive cars produced. It has had only three registered owners from new, with the last being the custodian for some 52 years. He has confirmed that, as far as he is aware, the exceptionally low mileage of some 24,000 is correct. This is an opportunity to enjoy an exceptionally original XK150 'as is' or to further enhance as required. The original radio and all original wheels and parts accompany the car together with a current V5C document and a Heritage Certificate.
