Car was at auction in '07
    www.motorbase.com/auctionlot/by-id/1341614040/

    Auction description:
Jaguar Heritage + Classic Cars, Barons (1st May 2007)
Offered here is a 1958 XK150 DHC, which was fully restored and converted from lhd to rhd in 1997-1998 by Jaguar specialists 'The Garage' in the Netherlands. The car was brought back to the UK and registered in late 1998 by its British owner and has covered only 1350 miles since. The paintwork is described as being quite superb as is all the new chromework. The car is equipped with all new chrome wires wheels, fitted with new, period style, Avon tyres. The Interior has been completely renewed and the car has a new mohair hood with half tonneau. While the car has been sympathetically restored to original specification, it does have some sensible upgrades, which include Coopercraft front brake callipers, Harvey Bailey anti rollbar, high-flow radiator, alternator conversion and a full stainless steel exhaust system. Finished in red with red hide interior and black mohair hood, the car is equipped with the 3.4 litre XK engine, which is mated to a 4 speed, non overdrive manual gearbox. This is an extremely rare configuration.

Car to be at auction 6/13
    www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

    Auction description:
    Lot 154 - 1958 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe
    Estimate: £45,000 - £55,000
    Registration Number: WSJ 431
    Chassis Number: S837251

This XK150 Drophead Coupe is finished in red with red interior and sits pretty on chrome wire wheels with a complementary black hood. Its original straight bodywork is rust free and of good quality. Mechanically we are told by the vendor that it was period uprated from 3.4 to 3.8 specification. It now runs on three carbs offering wonderful performance.

Offered to the market here at a reserve way below the current market, this is a definite snip for the Jaguar enthusiast and not to be missed.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
