This 1958 Jaguar XK150 fixed-head coupe is a disassembled and non-running project that was acquired by the seller in its current condition out of California in November 2023. Refinished in blue under prior ownership, the car is equipped with a 3.4-liter inline-six, a four-speed manual transmission, knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel. This XK150 project is now offered with removed parts and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished in blue under prior ownership, and the bumpers, trim, glass, and lights have been removed and will accompany the car. Paint is missing from the left door and left-front fender, and various paint chips are pictured around the body. The seller notes body filler along the bottom of the left door and rust behind the front wheel wells.
The knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 195-series Michelin tires up front and BFGoodrich Radial XL-200 rubber out back. The wheels are corroded and the tires show wear. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel remains in the otherwise stripped cabin. Peeling paint is visible throughout.
The removed seats, interior panels, and components are worn and stained. Smiths instrumentation will also accompany the car.
The 3.4-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts, and the seller reports that it was rebuilt under previous ownership. The engine is not plumbed or wired and has not been run under current ownership, though the seller notes that it spins freely by hand. The removed radiator, fuel tank, exhaust system, and other components are included in the sale.
A four-speed manual transmission with overdrive is fitted. Corrosion and rust-through on the underside is visible.
The car is titled using the cylinder head stamping V20268. The seller reports that the chassis plate has been lost.
