Significant history files
Manufactured on 24th May 1960 and despatched to Henlys, London on 16th June 1960 this Jaguar XK 150 still bears its original registration plate of 5195 DU. Presented in the classic combination of British Racing Green with beige leather. The original automatic transmission and 3.4 litre engine on this Jaguar have been replaced with the much more desirable 3.8 litre unit and four-speed manual gearbox. The fastidious vendor, an avid classic car enthusiast, purchased the car from ourselves in 2019. He has had huge amounts of work carried out on this XK 150 during his stewardship. The engine has been rebuilt as has the Moss gearbox, at the same time the overdrive unit was checked and found to be in good order and a new clutch was fitted. New rear hubs have been fitted, the carburettors rebuilt, stainless steel exhaust system fitted, the list is endless and is confirmed by four history folders. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms this car to be an original right hand drive example. This fabulous example is fitted with a full length Webasto sunroof, electronic ignition for increased reliability and bucket seats to aid driver comfort. Rarely do we see XK 150s that have been as well cared for as this one, it is both a credit to the marque and the owner. Consigned by Stewart Banks.
