Ebay item 9/16/10
1956 Jaguar XK140 Coupe cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $15,600, no reserve, 1 bid 4 days left in auction.
Good restorable car - Engine runs smooth and quiet
If you have been looking for a project car that you can restore reasonably economically, this is it! This Jaguar is nearly complete with all original parts and many newer parts. The tires need to be replaced, but the painted wire wheels are very nice with straight, tight spokes and good splines.
The car is very complete. The bumpers and guards are original that have been re-chromed about fifteen years ago and are still very nice. The front trim is all there including the grille, headlight rings, turn signals lamps and pod lamps.
The license plate holder is new and the car has an original jack and a 3/4 complete tool kit. The boot (trunk) has the complete lid mechanism and trunk cover board with light.
Seats are original but will need re-covered which can be easily done when you restore the interior. That gauges and dash are original and usable if you want to do the work in stages.
The floor boards are rotted and will need replaced. The car has the typical rust on the sills and the A-post like most cars of this era, The front fenders are in great condition and the body is nice and straight!
There is a new exhaust kit waiting to be installed and the gas tank is original and very clean.
This car also boasts a great motor and transmission. The engine runs great and smooth! This engine is super quiet and holds perfect oil pressure at 60 pounds.
This is the Jaguar to buy if you've ever wanted an XK140 but did not think you could afford to buy and then restore it. We have a great low starting bid with no reserve and you are more than halfway there on the restoration side with as nice, straight and complete this car is.
We are in Ohio, very close to Pittsburgh PA
