39000 miles from new; first owner being Melvin Clause, US citizen (member of the US armed forces) on duty in Germany; he shipped the car to California when returning home on 25th November 1956; car has been preserved in a absolutely original condition; fitted with C type head and 2inch ("Sand cast")
carbs; featured in Philip Porter's "Original Jaguar XK", 2nd edition (ISBN 1-901432-02-5); car has been in Switzerland since 1995
