    Sellers description:
    1956 Jaguar XK-140 MC ROADSTER # 812558 (VIN #)
I purchased this car in 1990 and until 3 years ago, when the restoration was started, it has been in storage here in California. This is not a commercial venture or a "shop" car that "came" together. This is the third 50's era Jag OTS that I have done. The prior two are in private collections, one in Europe and one stateside. It has been a relaxing hobby away from the real estate world. There is one more in storage which will be my last project.

    · All numbers are matching and genuine and certified by the Jaguar Daimler Trust.
    · Compete disassembly; doors, bonnet, boot, fenders, and body off restoration. Three years in the process. No short cuts or cheap work/parts.
    · All body panels are original and un-adulterated. Although sills, cockpit floor and mud guards where replace. No body fillers.
    · All chrome pieces are original and recently triple plated. Fender mirrors and bezels are new replacements.
    · Complete new interior, boot, side curtains and top done by K&H Upholstery to concours standards. Not a kit job. Seat frames and top frame powder coated.
    · Both engine and transmission rebuilt by XK's Unlimited to specs and to concours quality.
    · Frame and suspension members powder coated gloss black with the exception of the rear axle, torsion bars and leaf springs.
    · All new suspension components and bearings.
    · New complete stainless steel exhausts system.
    · Radiator rebuilt with high capacity core and high flow flex fan.
    · All gauges were rebuilt along with new correct fabric wiring harness throughout.
    · All new stainless steel brake lines. All hydraulic cylinders were re-bored and sleeved.
    · Five new Dunlop chrome wire wheels and knock-offs with five new Vredestein tires and tubes.
    · Wheels balanced, aligned with castor and camber dialed in. Drums turned and powder coated.
    · Paint is BASF Glasurit single state urethane. Color is 2010 Jaguar Salsa Red.
    · WINNER OF THE 27TH ANNUAL HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA CONCOURS IN JUNE 2012.
    · The engine purrs with a strong throaty roar and the tranny is smooth.
    · The car has a clear California title.
    · Receipts are available to review and copies can be made.
