This specific example has a chassis number which starts with an S (S812245) which shows that it has been originally delivered with a C-type engine head.
Actually the S means more then just the C-type head, it stands for the optional SE pack which included in those years, wire wheels, two extra lamps at the front and the C-type head which produces the above described 210 horsepower.
This specific example is in a very nice condition. The paint as well as the chrome looks excellent without any strange or incorrect dents or scratches. The Jaguar looks almost as new from the outside. The interior does show some patina which is although us nice in a classic car.
Looking further at the Jaguar, the car is very straight with nice door fittings. The interior is a combination of black with dark blue dashboard.
The Jaguar still has its matching numbers engine as well as engine head since it was new delivered at the 21st of March 1956.
The car still is in the color combination as it was when it was newly delivered. Cream with black interior.
In short: a superb looking car which is also eligible for the greatest road race in the world, the Mille Miglia.
The Houtkamp Collection is centrally located near Amsterdam and only 10 minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
