Ebay item 5/10/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK-140-MC-Roadster-/330920594064
Current bid $20,100 reserve not met, 6 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Jaguar 1956 XK-140 MC Roadster- All matching numbers

This car is a PROJECT car. It has had a lot of body panels replaced, but it still needs a skilled body worker to complete it. The steel body shell is currently stripped and the outer portions are protected by Ospho and sprayed with grey primer. The inner panels have been painted with a product called POR-15. The frame was sandblasted and painted with Black POR-15.

It has new floors, inner sills, B-post assemblies and driveshaft tunnel. The inner fender closing panels are new. The spare tire tray in the boot is new. The rear fender mounting strips were replaced on both sides.

Various original detachable parts were bead-blasted and painted black including:

The spare tire tray, the transmission cover, the engine compartment panels, the left and right vent boxes, the demister vents, the bumper irons and the radiator bottom shroud.

The suspension had new poly-urethane bushings installed.

There are new plywood floor-boards which have been spar varnished.

The original wooden instrument panel was delaminating and the plywood was re-glued and spar varnished.

The engine is the original matching number MC engine and it does NOT turn over.

It comes with a replacement intake manifold and a few C-type head valve covers that are usable for working on the engine.

The transmission is the original Moss-box. It was not an overdrive gearbox.

The car had been stripped down to the the frame for the extensive body-work and has had the major pieces re-installed for ease of shipping and to show what is there.

The car has a legal Texas Title.

The reason it is for sale is I recently acquired a driving XK-120 and I do not have room or time to finish this restoration project. Inspections by appointment.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
