Sellers description:
This is a beautiful numbers matching 1956 Jaguar XK140 MC OTS. It is the special equipment model (factory installed) with Type C cylinder head (210 hp), crankshaft damper, wire wheels, dual exhaust, fog lights and windshield wiper. It is finished in an original color scheme of Birch Grey paint with red leather interior. The Birch Grey color gives it a very period look and the darker color really shows off the XK's beautiful lines. It is an original California car and has never had any rust. It is recently restored except for the top and side curtains which are still in their original condition and will need to be restored. It was dispatched from the factory in November 1955. The engine has been completely rebuilt, transmission redone, suspension mounts replaced, new fuel system, new brake system, new correct wiring harnesses, new exhaust, new tonneau cover, etc.

Work done by mechanical engineer.
Crankshaft magnafluxed, new plugs, .020 undersize, polished journals, balanced, new distributor drive hear, timing chain drive gear, teflon front oil seal.
Connecting rods big end resized, new bushings installed and reamed, new bolds, nuts weight balanced.
AE Hepolite 8:1, .020 oversized, weight matched, Deves Piston rings.
Block walnut shell blasted, bores .020 oversized, top face machined, new brass freeze plugs, glyptal painted inside surfaces, new motor mounts. New Vandervell bearings (mains and rods), new main bearing bolts. Dynamically balanced crankshaft, vibration damper, flywheel, pressure plate (Saum Engineering).
Cylinder head rebuilt by XK’s unlimited. Polished aluminum, painted correct red, surfaced, 3 angle valve job, new valves, seats, guides, springs seats, springs, collars, keepers, tappets, clips, valve stem seals (intake and exhaust), core plugs, cam bearings, tappet guide hold down kit (intake and exhaust), Isky cams (.390 lift), pressure tested.
All new sprockets, chains, chain guides, chain tensioner, cam gear adjusting plates.
Polished intake manifold, crankshaft pulley, water pump pulley.
Flywheel machined and balanced, new ring gear.
New clutch disk, pressure plate, TO bearing, clutch clevis set.
New vibration damper, balanced
New gear reduction starter, new battery
New Mallory dual point distributor with vacuum advance, Mallory coil, Ignition wire conduit, copper/silicone spark plug wires
Overhauled 1 ¾” SU H6 carburetors, oil pump, water pump, new air filters
New black porcelain exhaust manifolds, new stainless exhaust system
Rebuilt radiator, rebuilt heater core, new radiator cap, by-pass type thermostat, water pipe, stainless steel heater return tubes, fan belts, polished fan blades
New transmission countershaft, ball bearings, needle bearings, seals, shift springs, glyptal painted inside surfaces
Rebuilt wire wheels, new Dayton spare wheel, new knock-offs
New BF Goodrich 6.00 x 16 bias ply tires, new tubes
New suspension rubber components, upper and lower ball joints, rod ends.
New spax adjustable shocks
New steering rack mounts, new rack boots
New rear spring main leaves, rear springs recurved, new bushings in springs and clevis, new drive shaft U-joints.
