Ebay item 11/2/08 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK-140-MC-1954-Jaguar-XK-140-MC-Total-Survivor-No ...
Car has a buy it now price of $155,000 for 20 days.
Sellers description:
This beautiful XK140 MC still has its original suede green paint and original suede green interior, original tools, original jack, original grease gun, original spare with Dunlop Road Speed wide whitewall tire (unused), and has travelled just 37,978 miles in its 54 years from new. This beautiful local Southern California Jaguar comes out of a very prestigous collection and from a very knowledgeable collector. This gentleman enjoyed driving this car on a regular basis and had XK Unlimited here in So. Cal., completely go through the engine, trans, and rear end to make this the finest driving example around. There is something about the way an original car drives and feels as compared to a restored car. The original just feels right, you feel more comfortable behind the wheel. Equipped with its original and numbers matching 3.4 liter in-line six with dual s/u carbs, this silky smooth motor easily makes 180hp and is backed by its original numbers matching 4 speed manual with electric overdrive. It is evident that this car has been garaged its entire life and very well preserved. Because the car is original and not a completely flawless 100 point car, you can feel comfortable in driving the car to any event, and will most certainly be the envy of collectors in the know. No accident, no rust, no stories. Just an honest and stand up example.
