could be a 1954 build XK140 because the VIN stand for a early build car.

So possible this discription is real:

Manufactured on 15.11.1954, this car was delivered to the US West Coast Jaguar dealer Hornburg in Hollywood, FL. Returned to Europe after fifty years, our white roadster successfully applied to four Mille Miglia editions in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. Now ready to enter the 2016 event, this marvelous car is a rare OTS model, LHD, Special Equipment fitted with a "C type" head engine; an original car with a patinated and genuine interior, still in great condition. A wonderful and quite expensive roadster!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
