We purchased this rare “M” high-performance version of the fabulous XK-120 roadster 35 years ago, following a mechanical rebuild, from its local (Mendham) enthusiast owner when he was retiring and moving to Florida. We sold it locally (New Providence) at that time and repurchased it 5 years later. At that time, we had the car cosmetically refurbished and delivered it Christmas eve, 1978, as a gift from wife to husband. The car, finished in black with dark red leather and matching 16” wire wheels, has always been a great-driving example and has covered just 5,122 miles since we first found it in 1973!
