Ebay item 4/22

www.ebay.com/itm/115308636193

I am selling this original 1955 jag drop head coupe for the widow of her late husband. This car has been in their

owner ship since the 1970s The car has been in storage for aprox.15 years. I just reasently took it out of its' coma.

I went through the entire brake system and replaced the shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder and hoses. The ebrake

 cable has also been replaced.

The fuel tank was removed cleaned and sealed. The fuel sending unit was also replaced. The electric fuel pump was replaced

with the corect pump. At presant the car runs fine and should be road worthy. The carbs may need to be rebuilt but I really think

the car just needs to be driven. The speedometer is showing 63 thousand miles but it needs a new cable.

The body is in excellent condition with no signs of damage. The car had a repaint at some point I would estimate in the 80s. I

would call it a driver quality repaint but does look good. I would give it a 6 or 7. The convertable top is still like new. The carpet and

door panels had been replaced at some point but the seats are original. It is missing some weather stripping for the door window

area The wire wheels are in excelent condition. The jack and spare are in the trunk. There are a lot of new parts on this car such as hoses motor mounts plugs points etc. It still has the original dual overhead cam 6 cylinder engine with overdrive.

This car has been family owned for many years and was their pride and joy. This is a great oppertunity to own a truly rare and

sought after classic that won't break the bank. I set a very reasonable reserve.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
