Offered for auction by Coys at their Ascot sale, 27 April 2013, lot 424. Typo on their catalogue description regarding the registration number, see the photos.
Seems it has a competition history with a Douglas Potter.
Needs a little work....

Registration Number: RLK 844
Chassis Number: 661089
This Fabulous XK120 competition Roadster was supplied new in 1953 to a Lieutenant in the army, before it changed ownership to Douglas Potter . Douglas, an engineer in the purest form, worked as a mechanic for a variety racing teams, and raced a number of different machines before he purchased his XK120.
Douglas Potter used his motoring mechanic expertise to tune and refine his XK120 into a wonderful competition car, which was campaigned extensively at the majority of UK motor racing circuits such as Silverstone and Brands Hatch. Both the car, and driver Douglas Potter became well known in Jaguar and racing circles in period and recent communication with internationally acknowledged Jaguar historian Paul Skilleter has confirmed this.
Potter ceased his competition career after many many years in the 1970's and went on to focus on aeronautical engineering. Since then the car has remained in storage at his home in Surrey.

Highly original, and unmolested there will not be a more significant XK120 available anywhere in this condition. Do not miss your opportunity in inherit a competition XK120 direct from its 1960's well respected racing owner.

Seller's description:
This fabulous Jaguar is a late example of the iconic XK120 being less than 100 chassis numbers away from the last roadster built in right hand drive. It was delivered, as a company car, to F Parham Ltd, in Gillingham, Kent in July of 1953. This company was involved in construction and boat building in the Medway area and the car was the personal transport of the Managing Director, who was a keen rally driver at the time and it is likely he drove the car competitively in this period. The XK passed through three subsequent owners before being acquired in January 1968 by a young engineer, who was motorsport enthusiast and over the next two years or so he utilised his engineering skills to develop his XK for racing purposes (for example increased engine capacity, wire wheel conversion, improved brakes) and achieved some success in the emerging XK Register racing series with multiple appearances at the major UK circuits of the period including Silverstone and Brands Hatch. After the young engineer finished his racing exploits he stored the car at his home in Surrey where it lay undisturbed for the next four decades, The XK120 has undergone a full chassis-off restoration to FIA specification and consequently the car now presents beautifully in its original Suede Green colour scheme and is ready to resume its competition career. It comes accompanied with period photographs, original log book and fully documented ownership history and offers a fantastic opportunity to acquire a race- or rally-ready genuine competition XK120.
